Hydratune is a revolutionary maintenance technology that enables safer, more efficient, and more effective maintenance practices in industrial and mining equipment. The system allows maintainers to perform critical machine maintenance from a safe remote location, reducing the hazards associated with working inside live-running equipment.
Introducing Hydratune: A Revolutionary Technology for Safer and More Efficient Equipment Maintenance
In many industries, maintenance of industrial equipment is critical to keep operations running smoothly. However, maintaining such equipment can be dangerous, requiring maintenance personnel to work in environments with extreme hazards, such as high pressure oil, high ambient temperatures, moving parts, dust inhalation, and confined spaces. These conditions put maintainers at risk of injury, which is why there is a need to develop technology that enables safer, more efficient, and more effective maintenance practices.
Hydratune is a patented new technology developed by Koodaideri Innovation & Technology that aims to remove equipment maintainers from the line of fire when performing critical machine maintenance. It is a system of universal remote actuators and feedback devices that can be installed by maintainers when the system is in a shut-down and isolated state and controlled from a safe remote location when the equipment is running.
The Hydratune system consists of three main components: the operator's tablet, the control pod, and satellite pods. The operator's tablet is equipped with Hydratune software that wirelessly connects to the control pod and issues commands to and receives system data from each of the satellite pods, controlling up to ten satellite pods simultaneously. Each satellite pod has a wireless connection to the control pod, receiving actuator control commands and returning system feedback data to the operator tablet through the control pod. The satellite pods have a wired connection to the universal actuators and system feedback devices.
Hydratune's universal actuators are designed to be compact and easy to use. A collection of indexing adapters allows the actuators to be applied to the thousands of unique applications found inside industrial equipment. An optical position sensor located in the actuator gives the operator full confidence that the requested adjustments are being performed as requested. The feedback devices are industry-standard sensors that feed system data back to the operator, allowing them to make informed decisions when adjusting the equipment. These sensors can include pressure, temperature, current, voltage, motion, and more.
By using the Hydratune system, multiple actuators can be placed and operated simultaneously, boosting maintenance efficiency and reducing maintainer fatigue. Moreover, the system allows for safer maintenance practices as maintainers can perform critical system adjustments remotely, reducing their exposure to the hazards of working in live running machines' footprints.
Hydratune is a revolutionary technology that has the potential to make maintenance practices safer, more efficient, and more effective. The system's universal remote actuators and feedback devices allow maintainers to control the equipment remotely, removing them from the line of fire and reducing the risk of injury. With trials set to begin soon, Hydratune has the potential to transform maintenance practices in many industries.
