Paladin Space: Pioneering Space Debris Recycling

Transforming Space Junk into Valuable Resources

With over 9,000 tons of space debris orbiting Earth, Paladin Space sees an untapped opportunity rather than just 'junk.' In orbit, resources are scarce, and Paladin Space is revolutionising the way space debris is captured, recycled, and repurposed to support the growing need for in-space manufacturing and satellite servicing.

Innovative Technology for Space Recycling

Paladin Space has developed Triton, an advanced robotic space debris capture payload designed to efficiently retrieve and repurpose space debris. Using patented robotic systems and cutting-edge image processing algorithms, Triton identifies, captures, and secures non-cooperative debris objects, before transporting them to in-orbit manufacturing sites for recycling or re-purposing.

Unlike existing space debris removal systems, Paladin Space has created the world's first modular payload capable of capturing multiple spinning debris objects in a single mission. Designed for commercial, defence, and government spacecraft, this technology allows captured debris to be detached for in-orbit recycling, Earth retrieval, or controlled re-entry. Think of it as Wall-E for space.

Leading the Future of In-Orbit Manufacturing

The future of satellite manufacturing is moving off-world, and Paladin Space is at the forefront of this transition. By harvesting and recycling space debris, the company is not only solving a growing orbital waste problem but also enabling a more sustainable and cost-effective approach to satellite production and maintenance.

Meet the Founder: Harrison’s Vision for Space Sustainability

Harrison, the founder of Paladin Space, graduated with a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering in Scotland. His early career spanned R&D roles in the automotive, avionics, and defence industries, alongside serving as a Royal Air Force reservist in pilot training. His transition into over-the-horizon radar systems eventually brought him to Adelaide, Australia, where he founded Paladin Space—a company dedicated to cleaning up and repurposing space debris.

When not developing debris removal robots, Harrison can be found surfing, diving, or enjoying the ocean—a reflection of his passion for sustainability both on Earth and beyond.

A Sustainable Future for Space Exploration

Paladin Space is committed to making space exploration more sustainable and efficient. With its cutting-edge debris capture technology, the company is setting new standards for in-orbit recycling and ensuring that space remains a valuable, resource-rich environment for future generations.
