Space Industries is focused on producing critical resources for Earth and for space. The innovative company is developing cutting-edge technologies to extract resources on the Moon and Mars; enabling future energies for Earth & space.
Space Industries was founded with a goal to develop technologies that can produce helium-3, a fuel of nuclear fusion, which has application as the future energy source for Earth. In doing this the team has been able to develop new solutions to many other problems, including producing water on the Moon and Mars.
Alongside this, Space Industries has built the world’s largest 3D printer for PEEK material, a replacement for Teflon that has super insulation and strength properties and application in the manufacturing industry. The team has also managed to produce an Earth-based version of a Lunar Resource Extraction Vehicle that is capable of producing water from soil in harsh environments.
Space Industries’ highly skilled team have experience operating at the deepest depths on Earth in Navy submarines, developing and building resource assets at surface in some of the most hostile places on Earth, and also have experience working on space missions with a proven track record of success.
In 2019, Space Industries completed early-stage prototype development on a number of technologies related to the Lunar Resource Extraction Vehicle, which led them to commit to the selection and development of multiple technologies in 2020 with final prototypes and demonstrations expected in 2021. Space Industries was also selected as one of the top 10 companies in the 2019 NASA iTech Forum and has most recently been selected by Australian Biome to develop the project further in Perth.
